R&D & Innovation Partners

From Research to Real-World

Krystalvision brings together the expertise of leading academic and national research institutions with in-house engineering, manufacturing and field-deployment capabilities to translate scientific research into deployable technologies.

Our R&D spans X-ray, XRF, THz and millimetre-wave (mmW) bands, and includes direct radiography (DR) and computed tomography (CT) imaging, image processing, real-time computation, signal processing, and next-generation imaging systems.

Research & Innovation Partners

Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)

Our sponsored collaborations with the Indian Institutes of Technology advance the use of artificial intelligence, computer vision and computational imaging in X-ray security screening. Work encompasses image enhancement, object and threat recognition, anomaly detection, pattern recognition and high-performance real-time processing, enabling intelligent analysis of complex X-ray imagery.

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)

Our collaboration with DRDO extends into emerging technologies including terahertz (THz) and millimetre-wave (mmW) imaging, optics and beamforming, spectral analysis and the use of AI/ML for security and inspection applications. Krystalvision has also received technology transfer for an explosive detector from DRDO’s High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL).
